GNEWS Is organized to relieve poverty and improve quality of life for undersorved residents of Columbia, South Carolina particularly the 29203 community through direct that services, education, and access to resources that support wellness, stability and self sufficiency

Founded in 2022, GNEWS grew from lived experience and a deep understanding of what it means to struggle, rebuild, and come through
Our work is rooted in listening to stories, needs, and journeys because real change begins when people are seen and heard alongside it.

GNEWS serves neighbors in Columbia, South Carolina by providing food, trusted connections, and community-based support that honors dignity and strengthens stability—one relationship at a time.
Our Story
Founded in 2012, GNEWS began as a grassroots response to immediate community needs. Over time, it has grown into a structured nonprofit rooted in consistency, care, and accountability. Our work is shaped by lived experience, local relationships, and a commitment to showing up—not just during crises.
